Two photos from the Bude C.S.S.M. Kids Mission around 1978-1980.
‘Hunt the Leader” was one of the activities the children mission would put on during the summer. The adults would disguise themselves and wonder around the Town and Crooklets beach for an afternoon and the children would collect tokens when they were spotted. A prize was given for the team who had the most tokens.
My mum and dad, who were part of the C.S.S.M., hired the tandem bicycle you can see one year. Another year mum outdid herself and hired a horse and dressed as a cowgirl (for her it was great excuse to saddle up for the afternoon).

Good Times. Cssm gave children the very best of summers. I thank your mum and dad for their commitment and my mum would thank them for the brilliant childcare.
