Ekopod glamping site, close to Bude, is a finalist in the 2019 Visit Cornwall Tourism Awards in the New Tourism Business Category. The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in Truro Cathedral on November 7th. A record 207 entries were received from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scily.
Brother and sister, Rachael and Matthew Gifford, bought the site in 2017 after it went into administration under its previous owners. In the last two years the site has had a complete overhaul with the 2 existing units being refurbished and new units being added growing the capacity from 4 to 26 guests. The site now also allows children and dogs and boasts different glamping pod types, allowing people with a range of budgets to enjoy the site.
We are delighted to be a finalist in these awards, the last two years have been hugely challenging, but we’ve loved every minute of it and being recognised in this way has been the cherry on top! With Ekopod our aim is to create an environmentally friendly space where people can feel a real connection to nature and we’re so happy with all the positive feedback from our guests’
