While there are pockets in the country where Covid rates are still rising, things are looking brighter here, so our Covid updates are now being reduced. As Prof Tim Spector says though, we all still need to be careful.
So, the stats for the 7 days to 17th January tell us that new cases in Cornwall dropped to 1419.
In Devon, cases were 1387.
In Torridge, numbers were down to 43.
Going even more hyperlocal, Bude, Poundstock & Kilkhampton, and Hartland Coast were all data suppressed (numbers below 3) while Holsworthy, Bradworthy and Welcombe reached 4.
Crackington & Tintagel rose slightly to 7, while Camelford dropped to 5.
However, there are hotspots like Launceston which had 33 cases. Bodmin West reached 32 and Bodmin East hit 42, which is a local high.
Stay safe, readers.
