Cyclist and charity fund-raiser, Kendal,  is on his way to Bude. He set out from Saltburn-by-the-Sea in the north-east on Sunday, 25th May, with the aim of cycling all the way round the border of England, an approximately  3,000 mile journey. He should arrive in beautiful Bude on Wednesday of this week  and  estimates that he will be arriving back in Saltburn sometime in July.

His motivation for the undertaking is to challenge himself, enjoy spending time with nature, see the diversity of the country, promote the philosophy of freedom and  happiness, and to fundraise.

The funds raised will be split between 3 organisations, including the local group Transitions Saltburn, as well as Education Forward and  to assist a disabled man, Chris Williams. The charities and good causes are all probably more pertinent to the north east but we live in a global world, so check them out.

Kendal intends to wild camp along the way, while also filming parts of the journey and asking different people around the country to say that “life is great” and to explain their reasons for why. To follow Kendal’s journey visit his blog. Look out for him in Bude and give him a warm welcome.
