I was thrilled to be invited to sneak a peak at the fabulously fresh, new look Bay View at wonderful Widemouth this week.
You can’t fail to have noticed building work has been ongoing, and big changes are afoot at the inn which looks light, airy and spacious, but still has cosy hidden nooks and crannies, all accentuated by contemporary Cornish art work.
At the moment, it is something like a Christmas wonderland with around 12 highly decorated Christmas trees with designer decorations by Gisela Graham (which are available to buy if you are seeking something special).
Then there is the food, such as roast turkey in a giant Yorkshire pud with potato and parsnip mash, rich onion gravy, pigs-in-blankets, Brussels sprouts, carrots & cranberry stuffing.
I have not eaten there yet but plan to. However, I can most certainly vouch for the homemade mulled wine.
The decorations are everywhere. Do pay a visit so you can marvel at the sparkle.
