HRH Princess Alexandra visits Norton Barton Artisan Food Village

On Tuesday the 31st of July Norton Barton Artisan Food Village received a visit from HRH Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy. Princess Alexandra is the cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, as part of her visit to various ventures in Cornwall.

The Princess arrived by helicopter in Bude, causing great excitement. She was escorted to Norton Barton Artisan Food Village by a security team.  HRH was joined by civil dignitaries including Colonel Edward Bolitho, Lord-Lieutenant and High Sheriff to Cornwall

The Princess was taken to see a selection of the maturing British charcuterie, created by Cornish Charcuterie, scratch distilled rum from The Cornish Distilling Co, and the range of savoury biscuits created by Popti Cornish bakehouse.

After the tour, HRH Princess Alexandra was presented with a hamper full of the finest produce from the artisan food village and promised to look them up in Fortnum and Mason.
