I’ve been contacted by an alarmed patient about the future of Stratton Medical Centre. Patients have been notified that from 1st April 2018, the running of the surgery will be taken over by Holsworthy Doctors, who run the nearby Holsworthy Medical Centre, deemed to be ‘outstanding’.
The letter says that although the change of hands will mean some new faces, most of the current doctors and staff will remain. It is this word ‘most’ which is bothering patients. The letter says that “the Stratton partners took the decision to resign their contract”. However, concerned patients believe this change will mean continuity of care will suffer.
Stratton currently works with 10,800 patients.

I have contacted the NHS for more information and will report back.
