The house of Josie and Alan Cornish, which was recently destroyed in a gas explosion, is to be rebuilt with the help of local tradespeople and Bovis Homes. THe community has really rallied round to help the couple, whose home was uninsured.
In their 70s, the couple are currently living in the caravan of a family member.
Various news sources have reported that Bovis Homes has offered to pay for the whole build, and that Travis Perkins, Bradford, and Bromells builders’ merchants have offered to contribute. The Go Fund Me fundraiser has risen to £8,440.
Meanwhile, a fund for their neighbours, the Cheriyan family, whose home was also badly damaged, and deemed unfit to live in, has risen to £3,070.
