The meeting is hosted by Bude Area Liberal Democrats

We all depend on the NHS. We wonder about the stresses, medical and financial, that are being put on it. We are interested in the way services in the Bude area are developing.

This meeting is an opportunity to find out.

We are delighted that two representatives of NHS Kernow are attending. They are the body that makes sure that we get the health care our GPs decide we need.

Mrs Helen Childs is the chief operating officer and responsible for emergency services in Cornwall. Paula Bland is the support manager working with the GP practices in North Cornwall.

Cllr Rob Rotchell is the cabinet member for adult care at Cornwall Council. He is responsible for care arrangements being in place when people leave hospital and is taking steps to improve the working conditions of care workers.

Jane Wells is the Managing Partner of the Ruby Country Medical Group, who took on the management of the Stratton Medical Centre this month. She will be attending to explain how the new arrangements will work.

John Lamb runs a family-owned care home in Tintagel and he employs a large number of carers in the community.

The meeting will be chaired by Nicky Chopak, the Cornwall Councillor for Poundstock and chair of the Bude Network.

If you email your questions to her at nickychopak@gmail.com, you can help to shape the agenda of the meeting.
