RoyaleLife, the UK’s largest bungalow provider, is getting into the community spirit by hosting its first Coffee and Chat for older people this March.
The free social event has been put together by RoyaleLife to help bring together those wishing to expand their friendship group, as well as those who may be lonely or isolated.
Starting at 10.30 am on Wednesday, March 11, guests will be treated to free tea, coffee and cake at the Bude & North Cornwall Golf Club located off Burn View.
Robert Bull, RoyaleLife’s Chief Executive said: “As the largest bungalow provider in the UK, we are heavily invested in building positive and long-standing communities.
“Upon hearing that there are more than 1.2 million lonely older people in the UK, we wanted to help in whatever way we could. That’s why we will be rolling out regular Coffee and Chat meet-ups throughout 2020, in different locations across the UK. We urge those who may be lonely or simply wishing to make new friends to sign up.”
Limited spaces are available and will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. Guests are required to sign up by Monday, March 9.
Robert added: “Our pilot community get-together back in December was a great success, and showed us that a huge difference could be made to the residents of the communities we serve in.
We are sure our Coffee and Chat meet-ups will be just as popular, so don’t hesitate to get in touch and sign up. We will be delighted to hear from you.”
RoyaleLife is currently developing new homes for the over 45s at Meadowlands Court in Bude.
