The Rangers at Northam Burrows are encouraging people to explore the park with them at free public events that are running throughout the summer holidays. There will be a chance to explore the plants and wildlife of the park on guided nature walks, while there is also a fun dog show, a pirate day and lots of other family friendly activities. This year the rangers will also be teaming up with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to run a special Bumblebee Safari. This will be a great chance to see these incredible insects in action and understand why they are so important to the Burrows and the wider environment.
Phil Pennington Lead Councillor for Leisure, Community and Culture said ‘Northam Burrows is a wonderful place to be all year round but especially when the sun is shinning like it is at the moment. These free events are a great opportunity for everyone to find out about the local environment and have fun outside in this glorious weather!’
