Football – related violence, Exeter

We hear much less about football-related violence than we used to, thankfully. However, a group of men will appear before the courts in Devon connected to football-related violence.

At approximately 9pm on Good Friday, 14th April 2017, police responded to a report of a large disorder at the King Billy public house in Exeter. A full investigation was subsequently carried out by officers from the Alliance Operations Football unit.

Fifteen men are now due to appear in court for violent disorder.

Those due to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court are as follows:

Nick Spinoulas age 22 from East John Walk, Newtown, Exeter

Oliver Southern age 22 from Anthony Road, Heavitree, Exeter

Stefan Szypillo age 54 from Hamlin Gardens Exeter

Chris Ashton age 41 from Welsford Avenue, Stoke, Plymouth
