The river level on the Tamar is high following yesterday’s rainfall and flooding is possible. The flood warning is actually a red.
The river level peaked overnight and is gradually falling; however, the catchment is saturated and a further 10mm of rain is expected today which could cause the river to rise again.
Property flooding remains possible at Bridegrule throughout this morning and into this afternoon.
Highway flooding is also possible on the A3072 between Holsworthy and Red Post, and between North Tamerton and Clawton.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
