Flooding is possible during Wednesday evening and into Thursday.
This afternoon, 15mm of rain, blown in by strong southerly winds, has fallen widely over Cornwall.
The forecast is for 30-40mm falling this evening and overnight.
Rainfall totals up to 70mm are expected on the higher ground of Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. The ground is saturated and river levels are responding.
Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible due to the further rainfall.
Unsettled weather is forecast for the next 5 days. We are monitoring river levels and expect to issue further alerts during this time.
