Well, I said there was no news, so now we have a flood alert for Bude from the Environment Agency:
Flooding is possible this evening, Sunday 4th October, and into Monday morning.
Persistent rain has caused river levels to rise throughout the day and a further 20-30mm of rain is expected this evening.
River levels on the Tamar at Tamarstone Bridge and on the Rivers Strat and Neet are high and continue to rise.
Flood warnings have been issued and further warnings may be required River levels on the Tamar are currently expected to peak at around 9pm tonight and could remain high for several hours afterwards.
Flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river is possible.
