From Devon & Cornwall Police website: Police are appealing for witnesses following a firearm incident in Barnstaple.

Around 12.45am on Saturday the 15th October, the Police were called following reports of a firearm being discharged in Summerland Street. Police units searched the area and located a property on Summerland Street that had damaged sustained to the front door, believed to have been from a shotgun.

A person dressed in black and wearing a ski mask was seen fleeing from the scene and head down Barbican Terrace towards Rock Park shortly after the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who has information that can help with the police investigation. Please contact 101 or 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference CR/73215/16.
