Fire at Bodmin airfield

A fire in a hangar at Bodmin airfield was reported last night. Two pumping appliances from Bodmin and Wadebridge supported by a water carrier from Wadebridge and a flexi-duty officer were initially mobilised to reports of a fire inside an aircraft hanger. They requested a further appliance from Bodmin.

In total 5 pumping appliances, 2 water carriers, 1 incident command unit, 1 operational support vehicle, 1 light 4×4 vehicle and 2 flexi-duty officers were on scene.

The fire started inside an aircraft hanger containing four aircraft and an unknown quantity of aviation fuel.
