It has to be said that February is not my favourite month, but it has the advantages of the days getting longer and spring flowers appearing.
This winter seems to have been one of incessant wind and rain, as those in flooded areas will testify.
Here, the fields and, therefore, roads are awash with mud and have been for some time. Tonight everywhere turns colder as the winds ease down and the skies clear, which has to be better than constant rain.
Light snow showers are expected over Dartmoor by Tuesday evening but by Wednesday, this will have turned to sleet. Some rain seems to be forecast pretty much all week in most places in the SW, but hopefully not as horrible as today.
Roll on March!
