From Devon & Cornwall Police:
Police were called at 12.20pm on Friday 9 July to the A30 at Daisymount Cross following reports of a road traffic collision.
Emergency services remain at the scene where a man in his 50s was reported to have sustained serious injuries. He was confirmed deceased at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.
The road remains closed in both directions and this is likely to be the case into this evening. This is likely to cause significant traffic disruption and drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Highways England are putting a number of diversions in place.
