Not much cheer in the news this week, sadly.
A man has died after the car he was travelling in was involved in a collision on the A30 at Upottery near Honiton.
Police were notified at around 7am on Tuesday 13 February to reports of a head-on collision between a BMW and a HGV lorry close to the junction with the Seven Mile Straight at Upottery.
The driver of the BMW, a man believed to be in his 60s, received fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has yet to be formally identified.
Closures were put in place in both directions between the A35 and A303 for approximately seven hours whilst vital investigative work was carried out into this incident.
