Dog killed in fall from Cornish cliff

Just a reminder that the ground is very wet and soft at the moment, which relates to cliff top areas, too. Please be very careful.

Yesterday, Falmouth Coastguard Operations Centre heard that a dog had fallen over the cliffs at the Western Cove near Portreath.

Portreath and St. Agnes Coastguard Rescue Team attended the scene and a Cliff Rescue Technician recovered the Animal from the bottom of the cliffs. It had sadly had not survived the fall.

Be kind in your comments – visitors to the area may not be aware of the terrain and the dangers, as much as we keep repeating the message.
