Dog bites tourist in Newquay

From Devon & Cornwall Police:

Police responded to a report of a disorder in Island Crescent, Newquay, at 7.14 pm 20 April 2019.

During the incident, a female who was visiting the town was bitten by a dog.  The dog owners subsequently assaulted a PCSO and a Police Officer who were called to the scene.

 

The female visitor was described as walking wounded and was taken to Treliske Hospital to be treated for dog bite injuries.

 

A 28-year-old male and a 23-year-old female from Newquay have both been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, affray and assaulting emergency workers; they remain in police custody at the time of writing.  Any witnesses should call 101 quoting log number 920 200619.
