Man critical after M5 crash

From Devon & Cornwall Police:

At 11:26 hrs on Saturday 22nd June 2019, Devon and Cornwall Police were notified of a Road Traffic Incident on the A30 Westbound slip from the M5 south in Exeter, Devon, believed to be a multi-vehicle collision involving a Citroen DS3 and a Nissan Qashqai.

The driver of the Citroen was conveyed by South Western Ambulance Service to Exeter Emergency Department.  The driver’s condition remains critical at this time.

The A30 westbound off-slip from the M5 southbound carriageway remained closed while a forensic examination of the scene was conducted. The road was fully reopened at 15:23 hrs having been inspected by Highways England.

Officers from the Exeter Roads Policing Unit and Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for witnesses to come forward quoting log number 0366 of 22/06/19.

Police would like to thank members of the public for their patience during the scene closure.
