Flood warning – River Torridge (Lower) from Dolton to Bideford, including Taddiport and Weare Giffard
Locally heavy rainfall during Monday has caused the River Torridge to rise. It should now have peaked.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.

What is the history of these buildings at Crooklets?
Please can you ask on Your local history page, what the history is of these two buildings at Crooklets? I believe the one to the far left is called Ocean House. The reason I’m interested is because the old Penarvor Hotel has sadly been demolished next door.
