Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a serious assault in Woolacombe.
Officers are investigating an incident which happened in Barton Road between 3 am and 4 am on Monday 26 August.
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, lost consciousness when he was struck in the head after leaving the Marisco Club.
He required hospital treatment and suffered a concussion and bruising.
Police understand a surfers’ ball took place at the Marisco Club on Sunday 25 August and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the assault.
