In the 7 days ending 4th January, we’ve had some big leaps in Covid numbers here in the SW, especially in Cornwall.
Cornwall reported 2,110 cases, a 109.1% rise. Devon numbers have risen to 1661.
Breaking it down further, Bude had 11 cases. Poundstock and Kilkhampton also had 11 cases. Holsworthy, Bradworthy and Welcombe had 15 cases, and Hartland Coast had 7 cases. Torridge reported 84 cases.
Camelford and Tresmeer hit 17, while Launceston had 28 cases. Bodmin East recorded 43 cases.
The whole of Cornwall, bar Looe, has turned blue or purple on the map, denoting high case rates.
