Cornwall Council Highways Department will soon be posting notices on street corners asking the public for their views on roads in Bude that have caused recent local concern.
The council plan to double yellow line some roads in the winter months as well as in the summer preventing congestion in roads such as Crooklets Road, Golf House Road, plus the entrance and exit of Summerleaze car park and the back lane next to Sainsbury’s.
Nigel Pearce, Cornwall Councillor for Bude, said: “People have been complaining about this for ages and unfortunately the bureaucracy has been very slow, but at last Cornwall Council will consult the community before Christmas and, depending on the outcome change the parking restrictions on a number of roads in Bude”
Details are currently on the Cornwall Council website and posters will be on lampposts in the roads affected in the next couple of months. The programme is:
