I’m fortunate to have ‘only’ had to complain for 12 months before I got decent broadband when we moved house to Stratton, a few years ago. Yes, really. I complained pretty much for 12 months. Does it pay to complain about a delay?
Yes, and no.
I spotted an article today, about BT being fined for late installations. Here it is. To most people it would seem like a lot of money, but really it’s a drop in the ocean compared with the profits that BT posts. That being said it pays to (politely) push and push and push and push when it come to your requirements. I know I did, and I must have spent close to 300 hours in total doing so. Unfortunately I didn’t get any kind of compensation.
Have you complained about your installation taking too long? Let us know in the comments.
