This is a wonderful idea from Bude Castle which invites people who love gardening but maybe have little or no access to one, or budding gardeners who want to join in with some communal gardening to learn about caring for plants, to help tend the Castle gardens in Bude.
It is a community idea to encourage people who may feel stuck indoors, who want to meet people in a pleasant outdoor activity, to get outside and join in with making Bude even better, while also furthering their own wellbeing. We all know that being outside and communing with nature makes us feel good. See how plants change through the seasons, listen to the birdsong and all within a stone’s throw of the beach!
Bude is renowned for its community endeavour, especially environmental. We have wonderful beach cleans and litter picks, plus the community orchard. The aim here is to create a gardening club, making an area of the Castle even more beautiful, but in a way that is sociable as well as helpful. Green-fingered? Get in touch with the Castle and start helping!
