One amazing thing about surfing is that if you are very good at it, you travel the world, and meet many people from other nations. It is a way of bringing people together with a common goal.
At this year’s World Junior Surfing Championships, Bude has pretty high-grade representation from youngsters Barnaby Cox and Stanley Norman, coached by Miles Lee-Hargreaves.
Yesterday was the Parade of Nations and the Sand Ceremony, where all participants bring sand from their country’s beach to mingle together with all the other countries. There are 43 countries represented this year, the biggest ever to symbolise the coming together of nations for surfing. So, it’s all to surf for. Cheer them on and give your support, Bude.
Good luck #TeamEngland
