Bude Surf Life Saving Club does a phenomenal job but surely no one would disagree that their clubhouse at Crooklets is not the most attractive nor the most effective base.
So, it is great news that Bude SLSC, along with Bude Cleaner Seas, is bidding for £1.3 million in government funding to create a new clubhouse and environmental centre.
ITV news says:
If they’re successful this will replace the current building. As well as a new club house it will include an environmental hub, a base for the RNLI at Crooklets Beach as well as being a new community venue.
Good luck to them in their bid which can only be an improvement.
