Volunteers from Bude RNLI have rescued a man, a woman and a dog that were cut off by the tide at Dizzard point. The lifeboat volunteers helped them in to the D class inshore lifeboat and delivered them safely to nearby Crackington Haven.
The Bude RNLI team were called at 6.30pm yesterday evening (4th September) and launched the D class inshore lifeboat George Bird onto calm seas. The local coastguard rescue team were also scrambled.
Jez Brown at the helm and crew volunteers, Charlie Green, and Brown Cardoo, found the three waiting above the tide line and helped them down to the waiting lifeboat. They were then taken back to the safety of Crackington Haven. The lifeboat crew then returned to Bude.
A big well done and thank you to the crew for helping to keep Bude safe.
