In desperation, Mel of Bude Blush set up a funding page to help her get her business back up and running after the devastating fire at Elements Hotel, where the business was situated.
On her Go Fund Me page, Mel Oreilly write:
I write this message with a hopeful heart, on behalf of the Team @Blushbude sadly our beautiful salon has been devastated by the horrific fire at Elements Hotel on Friday 13th.
Just when we we’re bouncing back from the crippling 18 months where we have barely been able to operate due to COVID Lockdowns.
Now we have been dealt another cruel blow .. from our beautiful Salon to blackened remains.
We have been told the investigation will take weeks maybe months . And obviously the whole site will be flattened and may stand still for years.
All of our wonderful clients know how much we love what we do and we don’t want this to be the end…
We need to find a new home and get it up and running as soon as possible to make sure we can continue to remain in business … this support will enable us to do so …
We would never ask if we didn’t need it..
Please help if you can we know it’s a big ask and we don’t take it lightly.
So far, in less than a day, the business has attracted 46 donations, totalling £2645.00 of a £10,000 goal. If you’d like to help, then the link is here.
Meanwhile, Mel and her team are also looking for new premises, so if you have a business that needs a beauty salon, or has space for one, have an unused building which might work, et., then please get in touch with Mel at Blush.
