Bude Pride 2021 will launch on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th August at the Bude Castle Heritage Centre, and then annually in June (Pride Month) thereafter.
An all-age inclusive event, it will spread across the Bank Holiday Weekend, fundraising for the community.
Over the next 12 months, plans ate to support local schools to become more LGBTQ+ inclusive, within their learning and environment, starting by improving upon their current literature and resources.
As well as education, local mental health-related initiatives will always be at the heart of Bude Pride’s fundraising – the team over at the Pearl Exchange are seen as an exceptional example of this.
The group is supported by Bude & Stratton Town Council, as well as the amazing folks at Cornwall Pride.
This is the first time that an LGBTQ+ Pride organisation has stood up to offer the full community support: committed to full inclusivity, challenging mental health, stigma, and ultimately, acceptance.
Pride endeavours to create a safer environment; inclusive of LGBTQ+ people, age, race, and ability, and to improve upon the network of support which is accessible to anyone. And you can help by donating here!
