The lucky people of Cornwall go into Tier 1 (medium risk) from Wednesday, 2nd December.
In Tier 1 areas, people must:
- abide by the “Rule of Six” when meeting other households both indoors and outdoors.
- are still advised to continue to work from home where possible.
- last orders in hospitality venues serving food and drink will be called at 10pm and customers will be allowed to stay until 11pm.
So from Wednesday, it is a good time to support your local pubs, cafes and restaurants which choose to open, if you feel able. Non-essential shops are also allowed to re-open for your Christmas shopping. here are all the usual things to choose from but also hampers from places like Bellini’s Deli Kitchen on Queen Street. These can be sent to other areas, too, so put your orders in sooner rather than later.
If you like an ‘experience’ then try a gift voucher – something different is a surfing or a paddle board lesson from Big Blue Surf School or Rob McPaddling.
If you prefer to shop online, you can still shop local.
If any other shops have ideas to add, then please comment below …
