By Helen Shingler:
The sun shone down, as it invariably does, on the Bude Motor and Classic Show yesterday. This year definitely seemed to be the biggest one yet, having been a regular visitor over recent years. It was a fabulous day out for all the family with plenty to keep everyone happy.
It did appear that this year there were less ‘vintage’ vehicles but the show does not advertise itself as just a vintage event and there were a lot more vehicles overall. There were plenty of ‘classics’ on display and cars which many of us will have owned and loved. Sprinkled in amongst the old there were some new, so the Show has a wider appeal.
The nominated charity for this year’s Show was JAY’s Aim and as there is no entrance fee for exhibitors or admission fee, I hope that everyone put something into their collection buckets! Jay’s AIM Helping Young Hearts is a registered charity set up to raise awareness of the risks and prevention of sudden cardiac arrest in the young.
Well done once again to Bude Motor Club for putting on this event and to all the stewards and anyone else who supported the day. Here’s to next year!
