Bude Lidl extends delivery times

Bude Lidl has been granted permission by Cornwall Council to extend its delivery times allowing lorries to deliver earlier and later in the day, in an amendment to earlier planning conditions.

Originally, deliveries were restricted to 6 am – 11 pm Monday to Saturday and 8 am to 6 pm on Sundays. This has now changed to 5 am – 11 pm Monday to Saturday and 7 am to 9 pm on Sundays. Bude Town Council strongly opposed the change saying it would be detrimental to residents. The application was approved with 12 votes in favour and two against.

  • Carol French says:

It will always happen just like this. One would have to be a credulous individual to believe the times would stay as posted in the plans as set out by Lidl in the first place! We knew it, the Planning Department knew it, and so did Cornwall Council. It is a” tad” too late to start whining about it now.

  • D. Jeffery says:

It happens everywhere, the council puts conditions on when they grant planning permission knowing that sooner or later there will be applications to vary those conditions which,in most cases, they will agree to.
