Bude Coastguard had a busy evening yesterday, as did the Air Ambulance!
First, at 17.46, the team attended the coastal footpath north of St Genny’s church, to help with a female casualty who had injured her leg. The Cornwall Air Ambulance was also tasked, arriving first at the scene. The Bude team took the alpine stretcher along the coast path and carried her to the waiting land ambulance, from where she was taken to hospital.
The team was called out again at 20.45 to Stibb. They were asked to prepare a helicopter landing site for transfer of a female casualty to Exeter Hospital. This was duly completed at Kilkhampton Football Club.
Where would Bude be without its Coastguard and other rescuers at the moment? Thanks to all involved for the work they do.
