Bude coastguard call to Widemouth rock fall report

Bude Coastguard Rescue Team were paged on Friday, according to its Facebook page, by the Coastguard Operations Centre in Falmouth (CGOC).

This was to investigate the report of a rock fall at Widemouth Bay.

No significant danger to coastal footpath users was found; however, it should be noted that rock falls are common in this area at any time of the year and especially during, and after, storms or heavy frost.

Please be aware of the dangers when close to the cliff edge or at the base of cliffs.

If you see anything that you think presents a danger to the public, please call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
