Hard to believe the future of Bude Brewery looked so bright back in January when I went to visit and wrote this article. At that time, the brewery had just secured a deal with the Co-Op to take their range of canned beers, so things were looking good. A previous Bude Brewery Ltd went into liquidation in 2016. Now it seems that the current business is in trouble. The microbrewery, established for two years, is on the market for £200K – £500K Furniture / Fixtures and Inventory / Stock included.
Sales particulars mention:
Due to owners’ other business operations regrettably they are looking to sell, as it needs more time and guidance to expand further and achieve its full potential.
Recently the Brewery has taken on a few supermarket contracts along with various other national distributors which has increased trade considerably.
Lots of equipment as everything is done in house.
Onsite shop and taproom, holding regular successful events.
Various options for the sale are available.
Here’s hoping that new owners can be found to save the brewery and take it forward with jobs available for the people working there.
