Bude a flood-haven on North Cornwall’s coast

Flooding is possible for all high tides from the morning of Tuesday 10th March until the evening high tide on Thursday 12th March from The Rumps to Hartland Point, excluding Bude.

High water at Ilfracombe on Tuesday is 06:22 and 18:48, Wednesday at 07:06 and 19:30 and Thursday at 07:48 and 20:11. Times of high water will vary along the coast.

Tide levels are now rising towards spring tides which peak on Wednesday 11th March.

High tide levels and some surge may cause localised coastal flooding.

The current forecast conditions could result in waves overtopping of sea defences and sea spray in exposed coastal locations.

Expect tides to be around 300mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions.

People are advised to stay away from risk areas and take care next to the coast.
