Owner Melanie has shared the sad news on her Facebook page that Blush has closed down. The decision comes after a fundraising campaign to keep her business going following the fire at Elements.

She says:
Despite our best efforts following the devastating fire at Elements, it has left us without premises to work from. I have taken the difficult decision to close down my company and make our wonderful staff redundant.
All our amazing donations via GoFundme have been refunded and will be back with our lovely supporters within 5-7 days.
Please be respectful of this difficult time … it is certainly not what any of us had planned to have to deal with, but right now … the magnitude of starting again is too much following such a difficult 18 months …
I, Melanie. Will of course continue my work as a freelance. I shall work from my temporary location until something beautiful presents itself…
Those who know me will feel my pain whilst they read this … but I’m not sure if many people will know exactly how much building something like Blush does to someone … unless you’ve done it.
However, this cruel hand life has dealt leaves me with no option but to stand down for now as a salon owner, just until my strength returns to move forward.
Bude & Beyond wishes all the staff at Blush (Claire, Beccy, Bex and Liv) good luck in finding new positions for their future, and also to Mel whose heartbreaking decision has been a devastating one to make.
