Bluebells and wild garlic – a heady combo along Bude Canal

I set off pretty early yesterday for a gentle walk from Helebridge along the canal and down to the Breakwater – and back. I love to walk the canal at this time of year, not only because of the reflections on the water but because of the intense scent of the bluebells and wild garlic. The two somehow just make ideal bedfellows. If you haven’t walked the stretch (Weir end) where bluebells and garlic meet, then head on down as I’d hate you to miss such intense beauty. Oh, and the sea was pretty amazing, too!
