Bude Area Tourist Board is asking locals and visitors alike to vote for Bude in this year’s British Travel Awards as it has been nominated as the UK’s Best Coastal Resort.
The tourism organisation is keen for Bude to win in order to further promote the town and its surrounding area.
Tourism Officer Mark Hibbard is excited. He says: “Winning this top industry accolade would be a valuable reward for all of the hard work of the local tourism businesses.
It would shine a light on Bude and the surrounding area and encourage people to experience the many accommodation options, thriving restaurants and varied activity providers.
We would really appreciate it if both local people and visitors could take a few moments to vote for us by visiting www.visitbude.info/vote.”
Bude Area Tourist Board has over 200 members and works to promote tourism throughout the region.
Families, couples and dog owners have been visiting Bude for decades and consider it to be the perfect choice for their holidays.
Visitors can choose from all styles of accommodation, from pretty lodges hidden in woodlands to trendy hotels set on the beachfront.
While the numerous beaches and the South West Coastal Path offer timeless opportunities to walk, surf and enjoy the beautiful setting, there is an increasing number of activities available that range from archery to mountain boarding.
