A Beer With No Name

By Ian O’Hare:

Dowr Kammel Brewery on Bodmin Moor and The Barrel at Bude, North Cornwall’s only micro-pub have made a 3.9% golden ale, from Cornish ingredients including their own Cornish hops grown on the banks of the Camel Valley. It will be on permanent sale in The Barrel from this week.

At the moment it’s a beer with no name and they are inviting anyone over the age of 18 to pop into The Barrel, taste what they’ve made, and, with new found inspiration, put ideas for a name into a suggestion box on the bar. You get a go for every ‘beer with no name’ you buy.

The three ideas thought to be the best will be put to a Facebook vote (@thebarrelatbude) and the one receiving the most votes will be chosen for this new beer!

The winner will also receive a £10 gift voucher. Hint: The judges will be looking for a connection to Bude and a name not previously used before.
