One man is in police custody following an armed incident in Holsworthy.
The Police were called at around 2:50 pm following concerns for the welfare of a man who was reported to have been in possession of an axe.
During this incident, it is believed that the man has caused criminal damage to a property in the area, but no-one has been reported to have been injured.
Armed police attendance with support from the NPAS helicopter and searches were undertaken in an effort to locate the man in question.
At around 6:30 pm, a 20-year-old man was located near North Road and arrested without further incident, on suspicion of causing criminal damage and affray.
He is now in police custody and awaits questioning.
