Armed robbery, Wadebridge

From Devon & Cornwall Police:

Police are currently investigating an alleged armed robbery which took place on Wednesday 4 November at around 7pm at Betfred in The Platt in Wadebridge’s town centre.

Two men wearing balaclavas entered the premises while it was open and threatened staff with what is believed to have been an armed weapon. The two men demanded money before fleeing the scene on foot before getting into a car.

DI Marie Ward said: “Officers responded to the incident and searches were carried out assisted by the Police Dog Unit.

“The suspects are currently outstanding and police enquiries are continuing into this matter.

“Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.”
