Police are seeking witnesses to a three-vehicle collision on the A39, in north Devon which left a woman with serious injuries. This one was on Sunday, 1st November. Emergency services were called at 11.30am after the collision happened on the A39 between Barnstaple and Bideford.
It involved a Ford Mondeo towing a trailer, a Hyundai I10 and a Landrover Defender. The trailer had become detached from the Mondeo prior to the collision.
A Bideford woman, the passenger in the Hyundai, sustained serious injuries and was taken to North Devon District Hospital. She was later transferred to Derriford Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
The road was closed for two-and-a-half hours for collision investigators to examine the scene.
Officers from Barnstaple Serious Collisions Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the incident and are keen to hear from anyone who the vehicles travelling on the A39 at the time.
