The interactive map has now been updated to the 7 days ending 19th November and the number of Covid cases in Bude has dropped to 24, with the rolling rate reduced to 225.
This is still above average but improving. Total cases in Cornwall for the same period stand at 382, a rolling rate of 66.8.
Bude, Callington, Bodmin East, and Perranporth remain the areas with the highest rates per 100,000 population, in Cornwall.
Looking ahead: as many as three different households will be allowed to mix for five days over the Christmas period, government sources have said, under a UK-wide plan agreed on Friday between ministers and the devolved nations. No one is quite sure how it works yet, because say a household of 4, plus 2 households of 1 is still a small group, within the old rule of 6, but three households of say 6 people would mean a group size of 18.
Meanwhile, areas await to see what tier they fit in to – there will be few tier 1 areas, it seems.
We await developments.
