The A30 in Cornwall is closed in both directions near Launceston. The closure is between the two junctions with the A388 (Pennygillam and Lifton). This is due to a Devon & Cornwall Police led incident. Investigation work is being undertaken. The closure is likely to remain in place until the early afternoon.
Traffic is being diverted off of the A30 to follow local roads through Launceston.
Road users travelling from further afield to and from the South West may wish to use the A38.
There is approx. 1.5 miles of slow moving traffic on approach to both closure points. Local roads around Launceston are also heavily congested.
Road users are advised to plan their journeys in advance, and allow extra time.
